When creating “Snabba Ladda,” I aimed for a track pulsating with energy. My inspiration began with the playful, nostalgic sounds of chipmusic; however, I also wanted to infuse it with the drive of modern pop. I envisioned music that could almost physically propel someone forward – something for those moments needing a burst of motivation. Consequently, the piece builds upon layers of synthesizers and electronic drums, all in E minor, moving at a restless 82 BPM. I find this combination gives it a distinctive, somewhat “jittery” yet optimistic character.
My background often leads me to explore how technology shapes our experiences, and therefore, I enjoy playing with sonic juxtapositions like the retro and the contemporary. With “Snabba Ladda,” for instance, I was considering the relentless pace of digital information and the almost game-like way we navigate through it. Because of this, I can easily picture this track powering a high-energy video game sequence or adding a futuristic, dynamic feel to tech-oriented content. In essence, I designed it to create a sense of momentum and thrill.
As with all my work, I am releasing “Snabba Ladda” under the Creative Commons CC BY-SA license. Furthermore, I hope you’ll find a use for it in your own creative projects, whether for a video, a game, or anything else that needs an energetic, motivating soundscape. I am always interested to see how others adapt and reinterpret these pieces.
